What does it do for me?

Here are 10 good reasons to see if you qualify:

1. Being number one on Google is NOT our best feature, but it's ok. We have many major key word listings but as we change our pages to the new format we will lose some of those. In fact we already have. But don’t fear, we will get them and more back. At one point we had 60 major key words up on the first page of Google. But that is not important.

Everyone thinks that being number one on Google will solve all their problems. We’ve been number 1  on Google for the term “best photographers” for five years. It helps, but it is nothing (30 to 1) compared to going out and making contact with customers and building a list where we can send them information that they want on a regular basis.  That is why we have a limited enrollment period for photographers. Once we get a set number of photographers we want to be marketing them to potential clients. Redoing 3,000 pages takes time, we’d rather do it once a year. If we accepted photographers all year it would eat into our customer contact time. (please note that is one reason we did not redo every page for our July 4th kick off. We are in the process of accepting more photographers and current photographers are submitting new images.)

Best USA Photographers wants you back year after year, it makes our job a lot easier. We have over 100 unique ways to attract quality customers to your images on our site. They involve social networking, press releases, articles, contests, promotions, consumer information, free e-books and more. As you follow the links under “Consumer Specials” and see the “other Best USA sites” you will start to understand just how deep and unique this marketing system is. It might cost more than portfolio sites, but Best USA Photographers delivers because it builds opt-in lists and keeps consumers updated automatically.

2. We are very select. The name Best USA Photographers means “the best” USA photographers, not any photographer with money. With over 55 million options this is a tremendous VALUE to the consumer/buyer. Best USA Photographers is a place consumers can go and find QUALITY quickly and easily. This is a huge time saver. A selection committee of peers recommends members based on the following categories: From images- Quality of light, Composition/Posing, Impact and meaning, Graphic qualities  (camera techniques & print techniques), Consistency of images; From web site- Speed of downloading, Ease of navigation, Graphically pleasing.

3. Our sole business is finding you customers. We are not here to sell you equipment, educate you, or to run conventions and associations. We are not top heavy in management, don’t hire any social climbers, we just roll up our sleeves and make it happen. Occasionally we will set up a fun photography trip for members. But that will be just so we can share ideas and have fun.

4. Photographers working together.
We all spend money to get customers in the door. Best USA Photographers is photographers working together. The Internet is worldwide, in most cases consumers look for photographers geographically or by subject. Here we all put in a little, and get a lot. As an example, it would take a lot of time for a photographer to create an e-book on weddings. By all Best USA Photographers contributing a few images in different categories we can come up with a book that any wedding planner or bride and groom would die for. Who wouldn’t want to get ideas from Best USA Weddings. Plus there just may be a few that fall in love with a specific wedding photographer and make a request for him or her. We have various programs like Best USA Weddings that are worth their weight in gold, but only if you are willing to work together. Check out “Consumer Specials.” Lets face it; one customer can pay for the whole year.

5. Easy to navigate. The consumer can get to your web site in four or less clicks, either by selecting a state, a category, or photographer’s last name. Best USA is far easier than anything else out there. Alexa.com says that 88% of the sites are slower than Best USA Photographers. Plus, viewers will not be distracted by non-member advertisements.

6. Our name attracts consumers. If there were 20 photography web sites listed on a page would someone pick your web site or a name like Best USA Photographers. The same can be said for many organizations. Our name was selected with the consumer in mind. Everything we do connects the consumer with the photographer. It is all backed by NINE years of continual research. Our category names are selected because those are popular terms consumers type into search engines. Nothing is being done by accident.

7. We have over 35 categories in six sections. People who are looking for outstanding images for their business also desire quality images for their personal use and vice versa. Some photographers cross over into different sections and others stay in their niche.

8. We are NOT free. Yes, this is an advantage.
So many web sites are under funded and cannot do anything to create business, except hope that someone stumbles on to the site. Web placement is very time consuming and constantly changing. All our pages are optimized to a specific key word. The pages you are seeing are a small part of what is to come. By having the different sections and categories we spread out the cost, without lowering our standards or creating undue competition. There is only so much that you can give away, and we’d rather give it to potential customers for you.

9. We listen. We know we can't be everything to everybody, but since we've been in the photography business, we speak the language and understand the challenges. We're always looking and listening for ways to make photographers better off. In fact for several years we refused to take any money from photographers until we knew our concept was working. The site has been changed many times at the advice of photographers, art directors, and web experts. We are members of Stompernet, Conversation Domination, The List Building Club, and a few other internet marketing groups that we are going to keep confidential for now. (You’ll hear in due course.) All these people still make millions selling their own products online in addition to their courses and teaching. They have guided us to change our site into a public relations firm that will guide photographers into the future, rather than choosing a marketing method that is a thing of the past.

10. We work 24/7/365 - Do you? The Internet is now the No. 1 source for consumers to find a photographer. Nearly TWO BILLION web searches on key photography words and phrases for American search engines in a 12 month period. (Word Tracker) Quadrupled  from the 2004. It may not be your number one marketing method, but while your doors are closed, people are surfing the Internet to find the right photographer to call in the morning. Are they finding you?
